We were supposed to run in Iroquois Park this morning, but the weather kept us closer to home. I want to get out to Iroquois as much as possible since that's where the first leg of the race will take place. Some people at Jewish are training together and they invited me to run with them during the week at Iroquois. So I might do that a few times after work once they start their training. I think they are waiting for the warm weather to come. They must not have as much faith in "Punxsutawney Phil" as I do, because he was pretty adamant about there being 6 more weeks of winter. (side note - watch Groundhog Day three times this week)
Shout out of the week goes to Mike Webber. Never again will there be a bowling display like he put on last night. "Unbelievable" doesn't even describe it.....I will tell you what unbelievable does describe though - there was an article in the Courier-Journal this week about how good of a season Edgar Sosa is having. AM I WATCHING A TOTALLY DIFFERENT SEASON THEN EVERYONE ELSE? Sosa even had the audacity to make a statement in this article that he was just as good as the other elite point guards in the country. Now that is unbelievable!
Go Cards! SIVAstrong!
Mike, you are watching a totally different season. Sosa is having a very good year. He's creating opportunities with his driving ability, minimizing mistakes, and hitting the outside shot. While Siva is definitely the future and has been coming on strong as of late, he has been prone to turnovers this year, much like the overhyped John Wall.
ReplyDeleteI don't care if he scores 20 pts a game. He doesn't play defense and he doesn't know how to control the pace of a game and he thinks he is better then he is. That leads to him making, at least, 4 bone head plays a game and against better opponents (i.e. Villanova, Pitt, WV) it will cost us a game. So if you want to use a stat sheet to determine if a player is good then yes he is having an OK season, but so much much more that a PG needs to do that aren't on a stat sheet. The past few games he is doing what he needs to do, but shouldn't be rewarded with an article about how good of season he is having. The headline should've been "SSSSHHHH SOSA HAVING A GOOD PAST 3 GAMES". *source: Courier-Journal.
